West Wind Lakes was built in phases, from 1986 to 1988. The community is an association-based community with 194 individually owned units in 50 buildings. There are 47 quadruplexes and 3 duplexes. The style of the units is a villa style rather than a condominium or apartment style. The buildings contain a combination of 2 and 3 bedrooms. The 2 bedroom units are all one story, while the 3 bedroom floor plan offers one and two story options.
Condo Living
For those who have not experienced living in a community under a homeowner’s association, it is defined as a community which is run by a governing board of directors, alone or in conjunction with a management company. The association oversees a neighborhood or development by creating and enforcing rules and maintaining the property. Ultimately the uniform maintenance and oversight of the community by one entity, keeps conflicts among neighbors low, and property values high. In exchange those who purchase a home in an association community are obligated to pay fees or dues for the services they receive.
West Wind Lakes is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors for the Condo Association and a Management Company, Trust Management Group.
